I want to say: Thank you Michael for all the love you gave us on your way through this life. Thank you for being a responsible human being and committed to the world and the era in which you lived. For caring for the common good, to love and appreciating the beautiful things that God gave you. For the vision and hope that children and humanity deserve a better future.

Curiously, we live in the same era and on the same planet as he lived, but we are not willing to make the commitment and responsibility involved in being truly human and putting aside vested interests to think as Michael did.

Time is running out, It is enough! Is enough! We need to be the kind of human beings this world needs. They don’t really care about us? What are we waiting for? I care! You care! All must care! For you and for me and the entire human race. Thanks for the reminder, Michael.

“I respect the secrets and magic of nature. That’s why it makes me so angry when I see these things that are happening, you know, that every second I hear the size of a football field is torn down in the Amazon. That kind of stuff really bothers me. I love the planet. I love trees. I have this thing for trees and the colors and changing of leaves. I LOVE it. I respect those kind of things.” Michael Jackson (Earth Song segment in ‘This Is It’ movie)

    Here’s a beautiful video:

    Planet Earth poem ~Michael Jackson

“Planet Earth, my home, my place
A capricious anomaly in the sea of space

    Planet Earth are you just
Floating by, a cloud of dust
A minor globe, about to bust
A piece of metal bound to rust

A speck of matter in a mindless void
A lonely spaceship, a large asteroid

Cold as a rock without a hue
Held together with a bit of glue
Something tells me this isn’t true
You are my sweetheart soft and blue

Do you care, have you a part
In the deepest emotions of my own heart
Tender with breezes caressing and whole
Alive with music, haunting my soul.

In my veins I’ve felt the mystery
Of corridors of time, books of history
Life songs of ages throbbing in my blood
Have danced the rhythm of the tide and flood

Your misty clouds, your electric storm
Were turbulent tempests in my own form
I’ve licked the salt, the bitter, the sweet
Of every encounter, of passion, of heat

Your riotous color, your fragrance, your taste
Have thrilled my senses beyond all haste
In your beauty, I’ve known the how
Of timeless bliss, this moment of now

    Planet Earth are you just
Floating by, a cloud of dust
A minor globe, about to bust
A piece of metal bound to rust

A speck of matter in a mindless void
A lonely spacship, a large asteroid

Cold as a rock without a hue
Held together with a bit of glue
Something tells me this isn’t true
You are my swweetheart gentle and blue

Do you care, have you a part
In the deepest emotions of my own heart
Tender with breezes caressing and whole
Alive with music, haunting my soul.

    Planet Earth, gentle and blue
With all my heart, I love you.”

Thank you, Michael. I know this message was very important to you and you must know that you have been very successful in your efforts. I think it was a very special Earth Day because many of us acted as a direct result of the love we have for you. That is a testament to your life well lived–God Bless You.
