High Life in R-Evolution: “Make that Change”

I promised to give some guidance so let’s begin together. We can do this. We begin by honoring that this must be done consciously, with forethought and order. Especially consciously. Begin here and follow the directions in the sequence in which they are given. Take the time needed to be complete, This is the groundwork… lay it thoughtfully and thoroughly for it is part of destiny.

The late Steve Jobs said, “being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying ‘we’ve done something wonderful…’ that’s what matters to me.”

What have you done that’s wonderful? What did you stand up for because you simply couldn’t stand down? What have you done to make the world a better place? How do you want your tombstone to read? Will your obituary in the paper speak of the inroads you made into uplifing humanity? What are those inroads? And what will they say in your eulogy? About your character? Accomplishments? Life philosophy? Contributions?

What are you doing with your life that makes your life matter? That makes it matter (you matter) to the world? What would you like to see changed? If you could put your two hands to work doing anything you wanted in service to the future world, what would that something be? What would you build? What would you create? What would you change? Do? Be?

A legacy is all of these– what we do to honor the human life we are privileged to live, the brain cavity and capacity we have, the space and place we occupy, those who have gone before us in the past and those who will receive our legacy in the future. What will you leave in your wake so that someone will know you have passed this way? What gives your life meaning and at the same time contributes to the world?

In telling your “story” to the world, what words do you want them to use? Words like generous, kind, sincere, genuine, compasisonate, courageous, splendid, fun? Or will they use words like selfish, angry, envious, compulsive, aggressive, manipulative, self-centered, bully, greedy, miserable? If your funeral was tomorrow and you had to predict what they would say about you, what do you think the remembrance of you would sound like? What do you want to be remembered for? Does that match up with what you have left behind already? Or do you have some work to do?

If you had unlimited funds, energy and assistance, and failure was impossible, what would you create? How would you plan it? How would you execute your plan? Who would you recruit and ask to join you? What is the most important thing to change in the world to make it better? Safer? More generous? More stable? More green? More human friendly?

What harms humans the most? What is the most egregious error humans make? What is the most miserable thing you can think of that a human being could experience? The most humiliating? The worst?

What is the antidote to that? The cure? The “fix” or solution?

If you had the power to change something right now that would make the world a better place for human beings, and for human dignity, what would that be? Is it change? Justice? Unity? Equality? LOVE?

How do you define yourself? Does that fit? Feel complete? Feel good? Need changing? Need improvement? Need to be shared?

And if social justice is your strongest value (and for many Michael fans, it is) then what could you, would you do to spread the message that was intended for the world?

We have been speaking here about the tabloid-esque drive for profit, exposure, entertainment, and how it harms, ruins lives, humilates real people and feeds the shadow of anyone who comes in contact with it. What is antithetical to it? What is its nemesis, cure, opposing force, solution, other pole or opposite, cure?

If tabloids drag people down singularly and collectively, how can they be raised up? And if this thing was put in place what would be the objective? The outcome? Results?

So, if you had the power, the will, the wealth, the voice, the drive, the support, the backing, the latitude, the brains… and all else that was needed to “Make that change”- the one that bothers you the most, answer all the questions above and write it all down including what it the worst case scenario and what is the brightest hope.

Too many times we react or embark on something that we haven’t thought through. We don’t see our life as a contribution to the world and our talent as worthy or valuable. In order to bring a gift to the world, the self has to be seen as valuable.

The key to bringing a dream to the world or dreaming something to life, is to keep checking on the progress of that dream and to make sure the activity surrounding it aligns with your values and what has meaning.

Here is your assignment:

1. “I am the kind of person who…” (at least 20 things)

2. If I had the power to fix: _______________________________, I would ____________________________________.

3. If I had the resources to invent something wonderful, I would __________________________________________.

4. The world would be a better place if only: _____________________________________________________________.

5. If I were allowed only one vow in my life and if I spoke it out loud with force, it would absolutely set in motion a chain of events that would bring it magically to life…

Now write down all the words associated with your vow in a mind map. Then write the vow in words. Wait a week and check in to see if the vow still stands and then prepare to speak it out loud.

Humor me. This is information you must have in order to take the next step with me. We can go forward together, but only if you know who you are and what you stand for first.

If you gain any great insights, send them to me and I’ll publish them. If you want to use a pen name, tell me what name you want to use.

When you are complete with that assignment, then (and only then) write how all that relates to Michael Jackson.

Then watch this video. No cheating.

Preliminarily, I would like to say thank-you for showing us what happened to Michael’s Neverland carousel.

Now I will attempt the assignment. Question 1 scares me.

    Dear Barbara,

Just wanted to let you know I am with you all the way. At the moment I am in a place arrived at after a long series of dreams, revelations, and intuitions. Not all of them pleasant but believed by me to be my “other- self” attempting to shake my “Everything is unfolding as it should” attitude. And it has worked! At last I am ready.

So you see, synchronistically for me, your timing is perfect.

    Namaste,
    Lynaire

Yes, L, sometimes when the Universe sends us a vehicle and floods us with opportunity, Providence could use a litte cooperation. Glad you’re in the boat. *wink* ~B

[ A religious man is on top of a roof during a great flood. A man comes by rowing a boat and says “get in, get in!” The religious man replies, ” No, I believe this is a test of faith. I have faith in God; He will grant a miracle and save me.”

Later the water is up to his waist and another boat comes by and the skipper tells him to get in again. He responds that he has faith in God and is convinced God will give him a miracle. With the water at about chest high, another boat comes to rescue him, but he turns down the offer again cause “God will grant him a miracle.”

With the water at chin high, a helicopter throws down a ladder and they tell him to get in, mumbling with the water in his mouth, he again turns down the request for help citing his faith in God will save him. After drowining, he arrives at the gates of heaven with broken faith and says to Peter: “I thought God would grand me a miracle and He has let me down.” St. Peter chuckles and responds, “I don’t know what you’re talking about; we sent three boats and a helicopter! It didn’t help when you wouldn’t climb aboard.” ]

I’ve done the assignment. It has taken me 3 days to screw up my courage and I did it quickly so I wouldn’t chicken out.
I don’t know if I’ve done it correctly!
I am the kind of person who:
-has to be constantly vigilant & as aware as possible of going unconcious & allowing my shadow to take control
-has to frequently repeat Michael’s name as a call to him to change my inner landscape or emotionl temperment, to HIS, to make me be “like Mike”, to help me be the change I want to see in the world. Doing this gets me a relaxed loving feeling inside myself
    -loves to write
-loves to laugh my head off
    -loves to write poetry
-loves to walk for miles with a wind blowing in my face
-is frightened by the seeming enormity of the injury I must heal within myself
-is up for the challenge, nevertheless
-loves the smell of babies – who doesn’t?
-will cross the street if the energy on the side I’m walking on doesn’t feel good to my body
-tries to avoid contact/interaction with those whose energy seems to depress or deplete mine
-wants to evolve and ascend my soul as much as possible
-is deeply moved and awestruck by the love I feel coming to me and all of us from the spirit side
-would rather be alone than become entangled in another lover/spouse relationship before my shadow work is substantially embarked upon or done
-ignores some of my health issues
-has gotten into debt inspite of abhorring debt
    -can become very angry
    -prays
-cries when a dear friend miscarries her baby
-is very grateful we can leave this place

    2. If I had the power to fix all of our injured shadows, I would do so immediately

    3. If I had the resources to invent something wonderful, I would invent something that would reverse global warming and all environmental damage

    4. to become Love itself.
    I vow to become Love.
I have spoken my vow out loud.

    5. The world would be a better place if only “love would come today.”

If it wasn’t for Michael, I would not be who I am now. I would not be looking in the mirror necessarily, and making the change. I would not be cracked open inside and and able to feel more acutely than I have for more time than I can remember, my mind would still be clamped shut in ways it no longer is, I may not have discovered what is truly important to me, I would not have an example to follow I feel this passionately about, there would be no Inner Michael, I would not have contact with Rev. B and the nudging towards the Self I must scrutinize and deal with – my own.
If it weren’t for Michael my true self may have never come to life.
P.S. I would not be part of the Spiritual Conspiracy if it were not for Michael’s astonishing impact on me.
    Who IS he??

I watched the video, and I believe I already joined The Spiritual Conspiracy three years ago! I have attempted the assignment.

    1. I am the kind of person who – cares about people and the world, wants to help others, lives within my means, uses my talents to help people and the world in tiny ways every day, informs and educates, keeps my home clean and tidy, has an organised routine, is always there for my two precious sons, keeps busy, tries to improve my self in mind and body, tries to understand why people behave in ways not always kind, tries to say and do the right thing to help them, tries to be more tolerant, wants to create happiness, wants to be seen as compassionate and courageous.

    2. If I had the power to fix countries where there is an oppressive dictatorship, I would replace it with equality, freedom, democracy and peace.

    3. If I had the power to invent something wonderful, I would invent a global system, where no-one uses or needs MONEY!

    4. The world would be a better place if only everyone was more giving, unselfish and considerate of others’ point of view and circumstances.

    5. If I were allowed only one vow in my life, it would be to stop greed and everyone wanting more than they really need.

This all relates to Michael Jackson in that when he died I was shocked, awakened as if hit by a bolt of lightening. I was taken over by an inexplicable almost uncontrollable urgency to follow his messages, his charity, and his aims in life, to spread the word and tell others. He is always in my thoughts, my mind, and my heart. I am in a state of constant awareness, looking out for anything or anyone, who has been similarly influenced.

N, I am aware of the theories that abound about Michael– everything from influenced by Satanism, the Illuminatti to his being a kind of messiah. We can only interpret from what we know to be true and from interpretations of his contribution. Jackson’s work is often presented in parable and may be interpreted on many levels. Jackson delivered on all those levels– physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. And his art (and his life it turns out) truly is in the eyes of the beholder. The eyes are the windows to the soul; what the beholder says about Jackson and his work is their personal out-loud confession of what lives inside themselves. Jackson was a true mirror! What genius!

It turns out he left behind another big clue. That comes next so… stay tuned. This one is a huge revelation!

Rev, I tend to see Michael as a highly evolved, love-being-angel-walking-the-planet who was sent to us from the Light.

I am SO none of that, so my question to you is, what is Michael mirroring back to me? and I agree we have not plundered the depths of his genius, but wasn’t he a mirror – and something else? Like maybe an angel walking the planet love being?

    Posted October 6, 2012 at 7:57 pm | Permalink
  9. B. Kaufmann said . . .

So are you too a love-being-angel walking the planet. We are all sent from the Light. Certainly Michael was a Renaissance man and a mystic who brought ideas, disciplines and symbols and to a culture through creativity and artistic vision. The culture, as often happens with Renaissance figures, was not quite ready for him.

The creative vision and fusion came/comes in an age reaching the intersection of science and ancient wisdom. Michael represents a recognizable archetype and we did what we always do to them– destroy.

Mysticism is the experience of God. When we acknowledge the Divine as separate and outside of self and we exault that elsewhere, we diminish our inner mystic- the metaphorical “Inner Michael.” Michael was not only in touch with his inner mystic, but he nourished it and allowed it to shine outward– a threat to those who cannot see their own light.

We cannot recognize in another that which does not exist in self. We are all mirrors. Our life is a mirror of who we are being. The planet is a mirror of the collective human mirror.

To shine or not to shine, that is the mirror; that is the question.,

Hello Rev. Barbara. I am going to work on the assignment. Thank you for providing this opportunity to do this important work. It will be interesting to see what the results are. One thing I have learned in these past 3.5 years is what I thought about myself, I have found was not quite the real truth. I’m just now finding out what that truth really is and I’m sure by doing this assignment, I will discover more of it. I understand this is an exercise to help facilitate the process. Michael is a great teacher and inspiration and so are you. Thank you. I will post when complete. Namaste!
